You can use mixed dried fruit or single type, blend it well in food processor, spread on some greased grease-proof paper ( about 0.5 cm layer) and place in the oven ( set to 70C) for approx. 1-2h.
I use fruit dehydrator and also add some seed (sesame, crushed sunflower, crushed nuts). It also goes well with a bit of yogurt ( will need longer dehydrating time but very well worth it).
Then it can by sliced to bite size squares or shapes of your choice ( also with a cookie cutter). Great take away snack. Healthy, yummy and not too heavy to carry around :)
